The iron age and Roman hillfort at Haresfield Beacon has magnificent views over the Severn Vale.
It’s said Oliver Cromwell watched his armies from here, it was also awarded ‘Best View in the Cotswolds’ by Country Walking Magazine, they published this:

THE BEST VIEW
There are dozens of contenders for best view in the Cotswolds, all equally worthy in their own right, so it's a purely subjective judgement that leads us (Country Walking), to the winner.
It is not Crickley Hill, the Frome Valley, Broadway Beacon, Cam Long Down or Huddlestone's Table. It's not even a sumptuous evening view over one of the many idyllic villages that litter the region. No, it’s simply the biggest view you can get from the Cotswolds.
A vista that stretches all the way down to the Bristol Channel, across to the Brecons and up to the Malverns.
It's a view on a grand scale and being westward facing, has the potential for being one of the greatest sunset seats in England. Yes, we think the best view in the Cotswolds is from HARESFIELD BEACON.

The cache is a few metres from the Cotswold Way footpath. Please ensure you visit the trig point that is approx. 200 metres away at N51° 46.759 W002° 15.307 as this will give you THE BEST VIEW.
The suggested parking is at N51° 46.697 W002° 15.704 and is approx half a mile (804.672m), from the cache.
Please make sure that the cache remains well hidden and be very careful when retrieving and replacing it as there are often many walkers about.
