Geocache Description:

Almost a drive-by but a very pleasant spot for a break nonetheless.

The Snowy Creek Picnic Ground is a little known but delightful spot that is a convenient rest spot on the way to either Mount Beauty or Mount Hotham. It has seating and barbeque facilities and is a good spot for a swim in the Ovens River on a hot day. Only the brave may want to try in winter!

The cache is a one litre clip top container painted to suit its surroundings. It is placed just far enough away from the picnic area (where it is recommended that you park) to avoid muggles, although most of them will be on the other side of the river. You might end up there first if you are not careful!

There are lots of trees so the gps will have you wandering a bit.
