THIS IS ONE OF A SERIES OF THREE REGULAR CACHES PLUS A BONUS CACHE.
Each of the three contains one component of the coordinates of the bonus cache. The numbers are written on the inside covers of the log books and inside the lids of the containers. You can log each of the three as an independent find, but you must get them all to find the bonus cache.
It's the "dog days" of summer, so the dog and I headed for the higher elevations, seeking shade, cool breezes, and maybe some nice views.
You can reach this cache on foot from Molly's Summer Camp #1 and #2, or you can drive very close to it. In either case, turn off Hwy 20 to the north on Conservation Camp Road. If you're walking, turn left almost immediately and drive a short distance into a large parking area. Stay to your right, and at the far end of the parking area you'll see the trailhead. If you're driving, continue on the paved road. See the hints for Molly's Summer Camp #1 for some trail guidance. Terrain rating is based on walking the entire loop.
As of 12/2/2009, the cache is a small round plastic jar covered in camo tape (I ran out of decon containers). BYOP. Please make sure it's covered, and please log DNFs.
