This site should be safer than the old one as there are no cactus or Rattle Snakes (hopefully). The log book is from the old Over The Wahl site.
Note the fresh water clam shells about 3 feet down from the top of the bank to your right as you drive down to the railroad crossing. Also note that Ospreys use many types of nesting material and have been seen with good sized fish at their nest. As you approach the obvious parking spot, check out the apple tree to the west that has been covered by sand so now looks like a bunch of bushes.
Be sure to drive an extra kilometer to visit the old townsite.
There shouldn’t be any Rattle Snakes at this site but still use caution when extracting the cache, you never know who or what might like the spot too.
