Geocache Description:

Cache is a very short walk (more like a Stop & Grab) towards a stream bank from good off-street parking. Expect a weak GPS signal due to dense tree coverage. You're searching for a gallon plastic mayonnaise container – now how hard can that be to find.

NOTE: 29-Aug-07, Tpstark indicates the coordinates are closer too N 43 24.758, W 071 54.103. I'd be interested in other finders findings.

Be careful in the Spring or after a heavy rain as the stream can become quite swift. Best keep a close eye on small children. This would make an excellent swimming hole, but only if you like leaches. Younger set can catch their fill of sunfish. Two pet oxen (Huck & Ben) used to live in the paddock off the parking area.

This cache was established to commemorate a yearly Lobster Fest Family Reunion held in this area. The reunion started as an impromptu birthday celebration for “Bog Bridge Tester” – a family member who completed the Appalachian Trail in 2003 and was passing through Hanover. This year’s celebration included a multicache event, those who participated will recognize these coordinates.

In keeping with the reunion’s lobster theme the First-To-Find prize is a commemorative Lobster Goblet, along with a gift certificate to The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille (N43 24.012 W71 57.609). Cache was initally stocked with items mostly in line with the lobster theme.

- Lobster Claw Cracker
- Lobster Soap
- Lobster Stamp & Ink Pad
- Lobster In-A-Bag
- Lobster In-A-Bottle
- Toy Compasses

If you have any lobster memorabilia or trinkets or any other please trade.

The cache also serves as the final destination for a travel bug awarded as a prize during the reunion. "Larry" [the Lobster]’s mission is to visit the home cities of all the reunion attendees and return home to "Lobster One" in time for the next reunion in August, 2007. You can track Larry's progress by using TBPJXN to reference this travel bug.

This is suppose to be a nice easy cache to grab on your way to find other caches high up on Mt. Kearsarge, Enjoy!
