Geocache Description:

Here's one more cache along Laurel Lakes Road. We were planning on finding the caches along the lake and realized we didn't have the waypoints for them (oops!). So, we consoled ourselves by hiding one of our own.

We stopped here on our way back down from the top to enjoy the scenery. Pause for a few minutes to take in the sights after finding the cache; we think you'll enjoy this spot too.

If you plan to drive this one, you will need a high-clearance 4x4 (or off-road capable motorcycle) to tackle this moderately difficult trail. Otherwise, you're in for a strenuous but very scenic hike.

The terrain rating reflects the road you will need to take to get up here; once you step out of your vehicle, the terrain is an easy 1.5. The cache is above 9000 feet so obviously you may not be able to approach this one during the winter. You can park safely off the shelf road within 100 feet of the cache. Once you're at the cache site, you should find the cache without much trouble after an easy, level walk.

You'll be looking for a 30-cal ammo can hidden in the usual style.

No need to climb up or down any of the slopes. Please be sure to re-hide the cache well.

Good luck, and Happy Caching!
