Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The co-ordinates S43° 29.903 E172° 20.944 do not lead to the cache
itself but to an excellent facility for observing the stars at
night. There is no need to go there.
Solving the puzzle below will help you calculate where the cache is
hidden. The location is in a public place in the same rural
community for the coordinates above.
The following symbols are related to objects in our solar system.
Your task is to identify which symbol relates to what object, then
arrange them in order one to nine. One being the closest to the
centre, nine being the fartherest away.
The cache is located at the following co-ordinates. Replace the
symbols with the numbers you have given them.
NB. Due to a CACHE LOCATION CHANGE 28 Apr 08 a further calculation
is required. Subtract 0.028 from the south coordinate and add 0.032
to the east coordinate. The change was needed as the cache had been
muggled for the second time. The new cache is a camo screwtop
container. Contents include log, pencil, pencil sharpener and
stashnote
