look out above Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

roballoba: Cache destroyed.
The location isn't relevant to the original intent of being by the rc airplanes anymore, although the location is a pleasant place to visit. There are people practicing their kiteboarding skills here occaisionally now. I will place a new cache at the new flying field. This spot was too close to houses for our comfort.

Thanks TK7464 for distributing the schwag elsewhere. I had been reading the updates even though I had not logged in in a while.

Happy caching!

I also got to use my gps for a fun test - I put it in one of my planes to see how fast it goes! WOW! I had one that did 138 mph! Pretty fast for a pound of styrofoam and electronics!

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Foster City location along the bay front. Look out for falling airplanes, as people fly them here by radio control when the wind is right. It is an easy stroll from the street across a hard pack field.

The cache is a camoed mason jar with log, toys, and location specific items.
The site is home to many migratory birds. bikers, walkers, and rollerbladers enjoy the bay and marsh views on the levee. Local r/c pilots use this field for flying electric airplanes when the weather is good.
My etrex gps stated 18 foot accuracy at time of placement. please post better coordinates if you get them.
Enjoy!
