Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

This is a stand alone cache and also part of the HERE FISHY FISHY mystery cache.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Neal Kephart of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at: here.

Park at the gate. There is also a sign board with the map of the area.

This cache is located at the headwaters of the Mosquito Brook and the Mosquito Brook Flowage. The Wisconsin DNR bought this property in 1999 I believe. It is now open to fishing and hunting. The total distance is just over 3 miles for the loop.It is about .92 miles from the gate to the cache. So it's a very nice little hike. While enjoying the area, please stay within the marked boudries as there is private property also.

To retrieve this cache you will have to make a choice. To either take the long way around or to forge or jump the creek to get this cache.

Remember to look under the lid for the Number that replaces the letter "I" in the HERE FISHY FISHY mystery cache.

This is also a great place to snowshoe and a geat place to see eagles soaring and you might kick up a grouse or two

The reason for the 3.5 on the Overall Terrain Rating is because of the loooong hill on the way back.

You are looking for a gallon size camo painted container.

Found with a group of five 12 year-olds as part of oldest's birthday party. This one might need some TLC--looks like a bear used it as a chew toy.

We LOVED this one and combined our jog in finding it. What a great little loop this was and we look forward to hiking/jogging it again! TFTC. This was also our last stop before finally hunting down "Here Fishy Fishy." We have been working on this one since earlier this summer!
