Remember "no soup for you"? Well, this is a spot where you can see water but you can't have any!
When coming up from Bell Station, this is where the trail starts to flatten out a bit, after a climb of about 1000 feet. There are a few more small ponds visible between here and Dowdy Ranch, but none are publicly accessible. (Bell Station is about 375 feet elevation and the highest spot on teh way to Dowdy Ranch is about 1900 feet. The cache is at about 1250 feet)
From the cache location, you can also see an underpass for cows!
From Bell Station to Dowdy Ranch Visitor's Center, the roadway and the land between the barbed wire fences is part of Henry Coe park. This cache can be easily reached without leaving the roadway. No need to approach the fences or think about trespassing.
Cache is a film size micro with only a log sheet. Bring a pen!
