This cache is one of a series of caches that originated at the five year anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11/2001 that occurred in the United States.
About 5 years ago, we placed our first Geocache (Patriotic Pride - GC20BE) not to far from here. It was placed after the events of 9/11/2001. In fact, even our Geoname was selected with the 9/11 events in mind. (There was four of us that started caching, and we were pretty patriotic prior to the events, and really patriotic after the 9/11 events and that continues today.
Five years later, the cache is still there and we still have not forgotten those that died in the 9/11 events or those that fight or work to protect our freedom every day, 24/7/365.
This includes the Armed Forces, Local and National Public Safety workers and everyone that supports them.
This cache is labeled #1, and I would hope we could get at least one in every State, hopefully more. We already have at least one International l cache location!
