Geocache Description:

This should be a fairly easy Park n Grab.
It is a small container (about 3” x 4”) so only small items, coins, etc. will fit.
There is a fact sheet, log sheet, and a pencil stub.
It is hidden but should be a fairly easy find even without the hint.
The original contents included 2 x $1 coins and a King Cake baby (that is supposed to be passed on to a new cache) for the FTF, WG$, mseeley/Mcdoodles Geocoin, small flashlight, 2 Toy Story figures.

The cache is located just north of the Texas-Oklahoma border.
It is just a few miles off of I-35.
This location is an abandoned Rest Area/Roadside Park.
I don’t know how long it has been since it has been in use but I suspect it has been a VERY long time.
This Highway has not been a major thoroughfare for 30 years that I know of.
I briefly researched and was able to determine that I-35 was completed in Oklahoma in 1971.
There is still remnants of the structures present, including several picnic tables with “OKLAHOMA HIGHWAY COMM” stamped on the side.

ENJOY and spend a few minutes stretching your legs before traveling on!
