Shop Pond is a popular year-round fishing hole. The New Hampshire Fish & Game periodically stocks Shop Pond with one-year-old eastern brook trout. You will need a NH fishing license to fish here but children under the age of 16 can fish without a license. Due to the high muggle factor, you should avoid looking for the cache during the annual fishing derby which is held here the first Saturday of April school vacation.
The terrain is rated a "3" due to the tricky approach to ground zero along a very narrow path and the rocks can be slippery when wet. Please make sure the cache is not visible when you put it back as this is a high muggle area.
