Drive-up magnetic key holder camo'd to match its surroundings. You can safely park near the cache. The only challenge is finding the darn thing.

Built in 1910, and seen twice on Ripley's 'Believe it or not!', this is the only elevated water tank sitting in the middle of a Federal Highway. Well, the highway has moved south a few hundred yards, but it's still in the middle of a main street intersection. Say, what is a Dallas Water Tank doing in SD anyway?

Tower of Power? Yeppers, these old towers provide a 'water head' of energy, which makes your shower head spin and squirt just the way you like it. Nothing like a little pressure, 'eh?

Be sure to notice a couple of historic society signs near here, and the old Carnegie Library just up the street to the north.

Dallas (SD not TX) was a large and thriving town some decades ago when it enjoyed being at the end of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad line, but most the many buildings are now gone. The large white elevator on the north side of town has been one of the largest shippers of wheat in this region.

Take a few seconds out of your day and claim this cache, and enjoy the mini-trip along the SD Heritage Trail.

This cache was found with Britt98 and dakotagirl1968 while attending the Geocaching Poker Event event. All the caches in the area were great. Can't wait to get back to this area again. I can't imagine what they were thinking when they put this here. Not sure what was there first, the watertower or the road, but someone wasn't thinking clearly. SL. TFTC!!!
