tanetops: Time to retire 'Exactitude'.
Twenty-one successful finds since September 2006 providing, for some, a mix of mental stimulation and frustration in equal measure.
We appreciated the positive nature of the majority of 'logs' and were able to enact improvements to the cache descriptive information using feedback on problematical areas.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

All waypoints and cache have easy access. Some stealth may be required. General area is the Waitemata Harbour.

This is a five stage cache. The above co-ordinates are fictitious.

Cache size: Sistema container 1 litre

Carefully supervise all children – steep bank (3m) and water hazard within 15m of cache.

‘Rescue Me’ and then you will know where to go.

wp1 = RED

wp2 = GREEN

wp3 = BLUE
(NOTE: The original cache has suffered from the unwanted attention of mindless morons on more than one occasion. The information you need is now in a small film canister, which has been re-located to a more secure location at the base of Cordyline australis. The co-ordinates remain the same.

wp4 = Point of Interest

Final cache

As you progress you will find at the first three waypoints a chart showing coloured squares (Red, Green & Blue) with numbers inside. Add all the numbers of one colour; this gives the distance (metres) from the coloured waypoint to the ‘Point of Interest’.

Having arrived at (or tripped over) the ‘Point of Interest’ you will find some crucial information on an engraved plate. You may find some discrepancy between your GPS reading and the information on the plate. Should this be the case then determine the difference between the two values. This value is ‘x’ metres.

With all the information gathered you will now be able to determine the location of the final cache

xyz = To the sum of ‘x’ and one seventh part of ‘x’ add the difference between wp2Red and wp2Green
