We'll Never Forget 9/11 #8 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Sioneva: I went to retrieve this cache, and could not even find the container, after a good search. Since I want to move it closer to where I am living now, I am going to archive this and create a new, similarly themed cache in Bellevue.

Geocache Description:

Located in Zorinsky Park. Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible, but the area the cache is in has a network of small footpaths; the cache is located no more then thirty feet from one of these trails. There is some tall grass, but nothing difficult to get through - provided you're on the right path. Be careful not to destroy the natural camo when extracting the container! The closest parking is on either side on the lake, along 168th St.

Shortly before the five-year anniversary of 9/11, a geocacher in Kansas, 4America proposed a series of caches, one in each state, to serve as memorials for the people killed in the terrorist attacks that day. This is my attempt to do one for Nebraska. Other caches in this series can be found by going to http://kansasgeocaching.com/neverforget.htm.

I could not find a appropriate location, such as a existing 9/11 memorial, so I placed it in one of my usual stomping grounds, one that has a great view, and a convenient log nearby for sitting and reflecting. The cache is in a tupperware container, and contains largely patriotic items. Please keep your trades to this theme, as much as possible.

Never forget.
