Lord's Wood sits high above the River Wye, offering stunning aerial views of the river. You won't find the crowds that occupy Symonds Yat Rock here.
There is a touch of magic in the air from Merlin.
You must take a torch.
Walking boots are recommended.
Some courage may help.
Despite being wooded, wide paths give pretty good GPS reception.
The cache is near a cliff, so keep kids and dogs under control in this area. Viewing points are fenced. The rest of the walk is very safe woodland.
There is only one way to get to the cache over the final 40yds and you don't need to stray into the undergrowth.
It should all become clear when you get there.
The last stretch usually remains flooded throughout most of the year with the possible exception of late summer / autumn. Please read recent logs for more detail. Whilst it is certainly not impassible it is really for those who own a good sense of adventure.
Please use caution. Wellies (or bare feet/legs) usually essential. |
