Located in Paint Mines Park near Calhan. The colorful clays exposed here in unique formations have been used as paints for thousands of years.
The cache is a cylindrical container with no room for trade items. I originally hid this in 2006 within the clay formations, but with increased visitation and more stringent park rules, I decided in 2021 to relocate it to a location just outside the main area of the clay formations. Take a short walk from the Overlook parking lot, find the cache, then descend using the trail into the wonderland.
