How Geocaching Works
Flag memorial of the five crew members who died in the 1944 B-17 WW-II Bomber crash. Plaque number: 42_97619. The tremendous view honors these men.
This is an extremely difficult climb. Would suggest a rock climbing class prior to this climb to the Memorial Flag.
This cache has not been visited for a long period of time due to its difficult location. It is now ready for your visit. Our group enjoyed the climb up and the great view. On the way up, you will find numerous pieces of the plane wreckage. Also three rocks have white crosses on them which denotes wreckage locations. You can climb part way up with a difficulty of 3-4 and see the wreckage. The cache is a log book in a medium size container and the base of the flag. Take a few minutes to enjoy the view.
