DANSK:
Sct. Pauls Kirke blev opført i 1884-87 i forbindelse med at
Århus voksede mod syd. I modsætning til de fleste danske kirker har
Sct. Paul to tårne, der vender mod nord og ikke mod vest, fordi
etatsråd M. P. Bruun, der skænkede grunden til kirken, satte som
betingelse at kirken "vendte ansigtet mod byen". Det gør den i høj
grad idet man fra hovedindgangen mellem de to tårne kan se op ad M.
P. Bruuns Gade mod Banegårdspladsen og rådhuset. Kirken er tegnet
af kongelig bygningsinspektør W. Th. Walther i nyromansk stil. Se

Sct. Pauls Church was built in 1884-87 as Århus grew to the
south. Unlike most Danish churches it has two towers facing north -
not west, because M. P. Bruun, who donated the site where the
church was build, made it a condition that the church should "face
the city". It certainly do so - you can stand at the main entrance
between the two towers and look up M. P. Bruuns street right to the
