Haven blev oprettet i 1969 på et husmandssted med tilhørende 10
tdr. land. Formålet med et lille Zoo var at give specielt børnene
mulighed for at komme i kontakt med dyrene - lege med dyrebørnene -
og at måtte fodre disse. Begyndelsen var svær og beskeden, men
efterhånden har vi hvert år udvidet og udviklet haven. Vi har hele
tiden forsøgt at forbedre forholdene - først og fremmest for dyrene
- og dernæst for gæsterne. I dag spænder haven over ca. 35 tdr.
land.

så tæt på zoo som muligt, uden at du skal ind i zoo.

The Zoo was
founded in 1969 on a little farm with about 5.5 hectares of land.
The purpose of this small Zoo was to make it possible for
especially children to get in contact with the animals and their
babies and feed them, as well. It was a hard and modest start, but
little by little we have enlarged the Zoo every year. We have tried
to improve the conditions above all for the animals - and then for
our guests. Today the Zoo covers about 20 hectares of
land.
