Nice place to pull over on Mosquito Road..actually, it is one of very few SAFE places to pull over!
We spent a nice fall afternoon driving along Rock Creek Road (looking for a couple caches along the way) and noticed that this area needed another cache! You can get to the cache either from Hwy 193 to Rock Creek Road (more winding and longer, but the views are amazing) or via Placerville to Mosquito Road (still winding, but less views).
The cache is a round, plastic camo-covered container--holding the usual cache goodies..log book, FTF coin and other fun toys.
Be careful as this is a narrow, winding road with a lot of sharp corners and a very narrow ONE LANE wooden bridge going across the American River.
