Denne cache er placeret på Kranøen. På øen ses resterne af den karakteriske kranbane og bygninger fra den gamle papirfabrik. Fabrikken fyldte en stor del af det område som ligger øst for kranøen og som i dag er udlagt til park/grønt område og kommunens administrationsbygning ligger her. Da kanalen fra Karrebæk fjord til Næstved centrum blev bygget i 30érne flyttede papirfabrikken sine produktion til nye bygninger langs kanalen. Den gamle papirfabrik blev revet ned i 70érne. En af mine barndomsvenners far var kranfører på kranøen. En dag fik kranen overbalance og kran med kranfører faldt hele vejen ned på jorden. På mirakuløs vis kom kranføreren ikke til skade. Hændelsen var så pudsig/spændende, at den kom i "Se og Hør". Dette link viser hvordan området så ud da fabrikken var i drift (visit link) vælg punktet "Maglemølle Papirfabrikker". This cache is hidden on the Crane island. On the island you can see the remains of the characteristic cranetrack and buildings from the old papermill. The mill filled a great part of the area east of the Crane island. Today this area is a park/green area and the buildings for the municipality is placed there. In the thirtees the municipality let build a canal from the Karrebæk inlet to the near the center of Næstved. The Papermill moved the production to new buildings right next to the canal. The old papermill was teared down in the seventees. One of my old friends father was cranedriver on the Crane island. One day the Crane loose the balance and fell al the way down to the ground. Luckily the cranedriver was not hurt.

Look out for mugglers, there are several in the area
