Geocache Description:

** NOTE ** This cache used to be part of the 5 College Multicache Series. The series has become too difficult to maintain, so the final has been archived. This cache will revert to a simply traditional.

This is a very family & kid friendly cache / stage hidden somewhere on the campus of Mt. Holyoke College. This cache is a medium sized 5"x5"x3" lock-n-lock container. It should be big enough for geocoins, small trade items, and small travel bugs. Depending upon where you park, this cache will allow you to spend some nice time exploring campus with your family. This cache involves a nice walk in the woods overlooking the Mt. Holyoke campus pond. Please take time to enjoy the dams that created them!

PARKING: As with any college campus, parking at Mt. Holyoke College is restricted during the week, Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm. The follow parking area is recommended - Parking for this cache is available in two places. There is an on-campus visitor's parking lot at N 42 15.287 W 072 34.282. For a more leisurely tour of campus, parking can be had at the First Congregational Church Parking Lot (It's OK .... I go to church there) located at N 42 15.510 W 072 34.502. Parking on campus is unrestricted after 6pm and on weekends - however check lot signs just in case. If you enjoy public transit, you could also ride the PVTA buses from campus to campus. The PVTA visits all 5 of the campuses in this series. However, you will need your car for the final cache. Click [HERE] for PVTA bus schedules.

The trailhead to this cache is located at N 42 15.348 W 072 34.263. To avoid an unecessary bushwack, stick to the trail which bends back toward the cache.

This cache is not recommended at night. College campuses are notorious for being "extra sensitive" to people poking around campus at night - especially people with flashlights. Unless you're prepared to answer some pointed questions from the campus police, please limit your searching to daylight hours when you are much less likely to draw attention to yourself.
