Tucked back into Riverbend Park, Oroville's newest river front recreation area, waits this hitchhiker, loaded with 4 travel bugs and other swag.
This is a terrific recreation area which includes walking paths, picnic areas, fishing and boating access and even a disc golfing course. The park is gated and has posted hours: It opens 1 hr. before dawn and closes 1 hr. after dark. It's for day use only and there's no charge for use.
A sign in the area states:
Park closes at sunset
Vehicles in lot after sunset
May be locked in.
I'd take them at their word.
At initial placement, this cache included: 4 TB's; 2 Hot Wheels; a Help Whip Cancer Pin; a Help Whip Cancer Pen; a log book and pen.
The cache is a round plastic container, painted black, and about 1/2 gal. size. It's close to the road - you can drive to within a few feet of it - and you don't need to get into berry bushes.
There is a Hog Heaven Scratch Off for the FTF.
