An easy cache amongst a large magnolia collection out in the rural town of Lincoln. Park on the road and use the little bridge for access.
The cache is situated in a not often visited area of Lincoln University known as the Magnolia Collection. Said to be the largest collection in the South Island, there is many different varieties, species and hybrids to wander amongst and appreciate the effort gone into cultivating them.
The cache is a 2 litre snaplock container. No need to go more than a step off the grass to find this one. Also, there is some water about, so watch out for the kids. You can park on the road and use the small bridge to get into the collection. Ignore the Hazard warning sign, it applies to the place down the driveway which you won't be going near.
And, if you are lucky, a peacock may be running around. For the FTF, there is a SnowWolf geocoin.
Update: 20101117 - I've moved the cache a few metres due to the hedge going missing. Cheers.
Update: 20141216 - Peacock still around. Cache moved 50m to find another spot.
