Geocache Description:

The hike is relatively short, but depending on your approach can include some steep terrain and rocky sections. There is a trail, but it certainly doesnt mark the fastest way to reach the cache.

Here's the story on our cache. We, The Techfamily, have 80 caches and we had not yet hidden even one cache! Our son, who is turning 18 in less than a week is trying to earn his Eagle. Like a lot of Scouts, he has a number of activities left on his merit badges to accomplish this big goal, so it's a bit like a race right now. As one of his Eagle required badges, he decided to hide a cache. Therefore the name Eagle Tower. We have NOT seen an eagle in this area but we've known we wanted to hide a cache here for the last 3 years. If you've not been to Indian Brook Resevoir, you are in for a treat. You may not see an Eagle, but if you are here during the less busy seasons, you'll see plenty of wildlife. If you bring your dog, please remove any dog poop in a baggie.

The cache is hidden in an average sized green ammo container. Note that the GPS coordinates "bounce" a bit in here. We averaged about 5 readings for the posting.

Park at any of the Indian Brook parking areas. Note that Indian Brook is a public park but duing summer months requires a park pass for entry. See this link for park rules and regulations. Entrance to Indian Brook is free in Spring, Fall and Winter and after about 6:00 in summer. If you arrive on a summer's day, there's a good chance you could talk your way in as a one-timer. The entrance people are ususally quite accommodating, especially if you are from out of town.
