A small container located in a managed wetland park
Due to health reasons I will be unable to continue maintaining this Cache. Unless someone will take over this Cache then at some date soon after September 1 2019 I will be disabling it. This is a newly constructed and managed wetland park. It is accessible by using the Catskill Scenic Rail Trail, the old Ulster and Delaware line. During the late 1800's to the early 1900's Stamford was a summer resort town with many huge hotels. It was a magnificent town in its day. You can see the back of one of those hotels, the Cold Spring Farm Inn, from the rail trail. In the park there are remnants of a swimming pool used by the Inn. The pond was used for ice-skating and the swimming pool was used by the hotel up to the 1950's. This should be an easy find. Parking is available at N 42 24.471 W 074 36.660. The beavers in the area have flooded the cache twice. The cache has been moved again. It is now a micro and the location and hint still are valid.
