Geocache Description:

Facing the sea

I’ve lost my first Magoito’s cache, so this cache pretends to be the natural successor of the “Há horas de Sorte”.

I think the beach is such a wonderful place that it deserves to be present in the Portuguese list of caches. So this is the second one, (thirth atempt), there. It will be more More in the future.

This one it’s in a completely different environment, also facing the sea and, again, could be done all over the year.

There are two approaches to it.
First: to the good loving car owner or the people that are found of a good walk. Just park your car just 500 meters far. Grab you gear, close the car, avoid the fisherman junk and walk there.
Remember that what is in not far in line of sight, couldn’t be so. You are at high sea shore and the terrain it’s plain but rough.

Second: the TT enthusiasts, people who tend to contact with nature thru mud tires, could park some 50 centimeters away, although a much more “suitable parking” spot leys just 10 meters left from it.

Both approaches need to be found with enough time to complete without any trouble or getting lost, so if you try it in the winter, namely by foot, don’t hunt it without sufficient time. Remember that flash don't work in scenic views and, at night, you could find yourself sufficiently close to the edge to be uncomfortable.
The TT path it’s perfectly operational, possesses no danger, no need to trespass private land or upset landowners and could be done alone even if you are a low skilled TT driver. If you manage to get stuck, consider selling the vehicle in the first opportunity.
A final warning! The place is safe, the cache is far from the edge, but people will tend to get close to it to see the views and take pictures. Take care, it's a high and fragile terrain. A fall could transform you in a bird by almost 100 meters before turning in to a fish.

Have fun.

No portuguese text ever, I hope!
