A lot of things have happened in the geocaching world this
year. Let's get together for an end-of-year event to recap where
we've been and see what next year has in store.
Here's the plan:
We'll meet in one of the large rooms at 7pm. it's called "The
Attic" and is upstairs at the east end of the building. If there's
enough interest, we'll order pizza. Please bring a few bucks if you
plan on eating.
Rather than bringing a white elephant gift, bring a white
elephant cache! Yeah, it's a bit of a twist on a classic holiday
party theme, but we're geocachers so it kinda fits. Whatever white
elephant means to you is probably fine, but please keep the cache
contents within the geocaching guidelines. To be fair to everyone,
bring a small or regular sized cache - no micros. Be as creative
with the container and contents as you want, but don't go over $15.
The idea is that these will become real caches to be placed in the
next few weeks. Think of it this way: After the event you'll be
hiding a cache using someone else's style rather than your own.
We will also raffle off an unactivated 2006 Colorado Geocoin
(donated by Team GPSaxophone)
We'll have more information on which room we're meeting in soon.
Updates will be posted here, and there will be signs on event day
to keep you from getting lost, since GPS reception isn't that great
indoors.
