Big Indian Lake in the outskirts of Halifax was once an essential part of the watershed for Halifax. The old service road is still in great condition today. Not for cars or trucks, but for walking dogs, hiking, x-country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking. A wonderful trail and part of the Halifax Western Common land.

While in the area be sure to seek out two other caches along this trail GCV32W - Snakes of Nova Scotia ~ CK's Nature School and GCZW3Q - Memories of HRM CITO 2006

Small Lock-n-lock on the old watershed road to Big Indian Lake.
