De to venner Poul Nordahl og Niels
Østergård aftalte at tage på skattejagt sammen.
Niels bor lidt nord for Slagelse og Poul bor øst for Skælskør. De
mødtes på det aftalte sted i nærheden af startkoordinaterne for at
få lagt de sidste brikker til dagens rute på plads.
”Vi har løst flere mysterier og fundet en del gode cacher,” sagde
Poul.
”Ja, og undervejs har vi spillet Tic-Tac-Toe,
Sorteper, Rummikub og Matador,” sagde
Niels.
”Jeg har for resten mit magnetskak med,” sagde Poul og fortsatte:
”Vi kan lige nå et hurtigt parti inden vi kører.”
Efter 28 træk fremkom følgende stilling:
Poul, der spiller
sort, har netop flyttet sin springer fra g4 til f2 og sat den hvide
konge i skak.
Niels tog med det samme kongen, men satte den tilbage på h1. Inden
han nåede at udføre det påtænkte træk, opdagede han, at han ville
tabe partiet i løbet af tre træk. Og så sagde Niels: ”Jeg opgiver.
Lad os køre nu. Vi skal nemlig også lægge en ny cache.”
Hvis du udfører Niels’ træk og fuldfører partiet, kan du finde
skatten. Det er kun et spørgsmål om skak og koordinater og en lidt
u-traditionel tænke-måde.

Niels Østergård, two old friends, decided to go cachehunting
together.
As Niels lives a little north of Slagelse and Poul lives east of
Skælskør, they agreed to meet at a place near the coordinates above
in order to do the final planning of the hunt for that day.
”We have solved several puzzles and found some good caches” Poul
said.
”Yes, and doing so we have played Tic-Tac-Toe,
Sorteper, Rummikub and Matador,” Niels replied.
”By the way, I have brought my magnetic travel chess set with me,”
Poul said and continued: ”We have the time to play a quick game
before we set off.”

Poul, playing the black pieces, has moved his knight from g4 to f2
giving check.
Immediately, Niels grabbed the king, but put it back on the square
h1. Before completing the intended move, he realized that he would
be mated in three moves. He then said: ”I resign. Let’s go now. We
have a new cache to place.”
If you play the move Niels intended to do and finish the game, you
will be able to find the cache. It's just a question about chess
and coordinates. Use untraditional thinking mode.
