Construction of the $17 million helipad, which can take 4 helicopters at a time, was completed in February 1990 and commissioned after extensive trials. This was money well spent (which by the way was fully funded by the TAC) as it significantly shortened the time getting accident victims treated. As an example, a trauma victim in say Bendigo can be received and treated at this facility within 35 minutes of leaving the scene in Bendigo!

Prior to the helipad’s construction, helicopters would land across the road in Fawkner Park.

The cache is a camouflaged plastic cylinder hidden in a very familiar spot to cachers, which should help overcome the huge EPE that you will most likely experience at GZ! Also please replace the cache in exactly the same way as you found it.
