Geocache Description:

This is at a memorial garden dedicated to the firefighters who died on September 11, 2001.

I am dedicating this cache to my cousin Peter. He answered the call on 9-11. Peter was an ambulance driver/EMT who has dedicated his life to public service. In his life he has served as a police officer as well as medic and is currently living on the west coast, still serving his community. Pete spends his free time working with the Emergency Crew at the famous Altamont Speedway.

To gain credit for this cache you need to email me the number of the firehouse where the gardens are located and tell me the numbers of the two call boxes in the garden. Take some time and read the names on the plaques in the garden. Reflect upon how these men and others like them serve and protect all of us and our families.

There is also a special memorial in the garden for a volunteer of a four legged variety. Send me that volunteer's name and his role in the fire department with your answers.

Happy Caching!
