Geocache Description:

AKA: I'm watching in the dark too. Location: About 15 km west of Milton, Otago, New Zealand.

The cache is above ground, but invisible from 5 m.
The terrain slightly obstructed in places.

Initial Cache Contents:
  • Logbook only

Directions:

The cache (accuracy 15 m; elevation 122 m) is hidden in a 1.3 litre translucent plastic snap-lock container in dense undergrowth. It is safest to park a few hunded metres up the road in the car park (S 46°04.022' E 169°49.508'; elevation 159 m), then follow the gravel track to the cache.

Warning! You may also park at the nearest point to the cache, near the beginning of the slow vehicle bay on the immediate western side of the Manuka Stream No 5 bridge, but you will need to climb the locked gate and you will also run the risk of being hit by oncoming traffic, be careful.

You may get there by either following State Highway 8 west from Milton or south from Alexandra. Turn off at the Tunnel Hill signpost and park in the car park. After you find the cache or otherwise, you may like to walk to the other end of the tunnel (bring a torch if you don't like the dark).

Free Hint: The cache is 11-12 m from an informational sign.

Either before or after finding this cache, you may like to search for U.N.C.L.E.s Manuka Gorge Tunnel cache, it's near the gravel track and about 160 m north-west of this cache.
