Indianapolis has graciously allowed us to place this
cache on Museum property. Please be respectful at all
times and obey the rules to this cache as well as standard
Geocaching.com guidelines.

and remain on the appropriate designated areas.

outside Museum hours will likely provoke the wrath of several
security guards. Museum
hours are: Fall/Winter (Sept 5 - Mar 19) Open Tuesday - Sunday
10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Mondays (except for a couple of
holidays). Spring/Summer (Mar 20 - Labor day) Open Sunday -

This multi-cache has three stages where you
will gather information which will lead you to the fourth and final
location where you will search for the actual cache.
By gathering the information from the three
stages below, you will be able to fill in the missing digits to the
final coordinates.
Stage One
The first stage of this cache will take you
to a lesser known feature of the museum, the Echo wall.
This wall was designed to provide a very
interesting acoustic experience. The sound that is made at
the Echo wall is reflected back in a special way. A flat wall
will reflect sound back in all directions. The Echo wall is
curved. It makes a parabolic shape that refocuses the sound
to one spot, the focal point. This focal point amplifies or
makes the sound louder. A whisper from someone behind
you can be heard if you stand exactly at the focal point.
Because of the shape of the Echo wall it echoes, amplifies and
focuses sound vibrations.
At the coordinates to this first stage you will
find a circular granite stone inlaid into the brick sidewalk.
This circular granite stone marks the 'focal point' described
about. Stand on the circle, face the wall, and say
something. You should hear your voice amplified beyond your
normal volume.
Digit "A" is the number of vents that
are just a foot off the ground in the short semi-circular wall in
front of you.
Just a couple of feet behind the granite
stone marker, you will see several triangular shaped bricks in the
sidewalks circular pattern. Digit "B" is the number of
triangular bricks in the center.
Stage Two -
N39° 48.617 W086° 09.532
The second stage is one of the more visible
locations of the grounds at the Children's Museum. Here you
will find some life-sized sculptures. Take a couple of
minutes and read the plaques that will tell you more about these
sculptures and why they are here. On one of the plaques, you
will read "Yvonne" "Greg" and "Diana". How many words are in
the sentence below that title? This is the answer to digit
"C". Digit "D" is the number of toes found on a
rear foot of these creatures?
Stage Three - N39° 48.663 W86°
09.488
The third stage () will take you closer to
the main entrance of the museum. At this location find
another couple of plaques. One plaque shows several
animals. Digit "E" is the number of fish on the
plaque. Digit "F" is the number of animals, NOT
counting the fish.
The Final Stage - N 39°
48.BCE W 086° 09.DAF
You should now have all the information to
plug into replace the letters for the final coordinates.
NOTE: Access to this stage is not through any black
gates or driveways. You will follow a sidewalk to get
there.
We hope you've enjoyed this short tour of the
grounds at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
