Franklin Point
This cache is a replacement for another cache that was very
short-lived and was never replaced by its owners. This was such a
great spot that I decided to recycle it!
The cache is located at a boardwalk and viewing area at Franklin
Point along the Pacific coast just north of the Año Nuevo State
Reserve.
I recommend parking at the Franklin Point trail head (known
locally as The Fist). From there you'll enjoy a relatively short
hike to the beach and then to the point.
The trailhead sign regarding 'Archeological Remains' refers to a
nearby burial site for shipwrecked mariners. Please report and do
not disturb any remains you might find while visiting.
