Hallock, MN
This is the homestead of my grandparents, we used to call my
grandpa, Boompa, so hence the name. The house is now abandoned and
has been condemned because it is located in a flood zone. "Boompa"
had an auto body repair shop in the garage and did lots of fishing
in the river, as well as ice fishing. I have many fond memories of
this house and surrounding property, it is very sad to see the
failing condition of the house. My Grandmother died in 1984 and
Boompa died in 1988. The property is still privately owned and
permission has been granted by family members who live in town. The
caretaker of this property is Bobby Anderson.
