Geocache Description:

An easy walk along paved pathways

This cache will provide you with a Civilisation and a numerical value for that Civilisation.
By visiting and collecting the information from the other traditional caches in the series will enable you to help Indiana Colwyn Jones out and find the Lost Key Room and then hopefully The Lost & Locked Ark!
The full list of the caches you need to visit can be found on The Lost Key Room - GC18R87.

Please bring your own pen to sign the log, you aint got a pen? you aint a cacher!

Indy advises me that this is the stream that gave Old Colwyn (prior to 1870 something, known as Colwyn) and Colwyn Bay their names.
At the site of the cache you can see the spillway where the mill race empties back into the stream.
In times gone by, the water wheel would be seen here.
Hidden under the ivy on the left hand side the axle can still be seen.
If you walk to the other end of the mill race (5 minutes), you can adjust the sluice to change the flow of water which is kinda cool.
Max flow preferred to help prevent silting.

***Congratulations to Caneou for being FTF on the 15/4/2008.***
