A walk up an overgrown fireroad, followed by some light
scrambling.
Located near
the former site of an L-4 Fire Lookout Cabin, built in 1937.
It was reached by blasting a trail along it's sheer
knife-edge, upon which a cable was permanently affixed. The
cable is supposed to still be there, but the cabin was
destroyed in 1968, and everything else, including the trail is
gone.
Your searching for an ammo box located in a much safer location,
but you still need to be careful on the approach. As always in the
back country, don't go alone, and let someone else know where your
going.
