Hello Helena! Time to get together after the holidays and have a little geofun. What better way to welcome Old Man Winter by having a Chili Cook Off?
Whip up your best Pot of Chili to share with others. There will be a trophy and prize for 1st place and bragging rights for 1 full year until 2010? Last year's winner was Orofino D's goose chili and rumor had it that yumitori's chili was pretty darned good too! We had a great turn out last year, so don't be shy, stop on over, bring the family and catch up with old buddies, make some new friends and just enjoy the atmosphere!
If you traveling a good distance and prefer not to travel with chili bring some of the fixings instead (cornbread, chips, toppings, drinks, etc.), that's perfectly fine. Last year we had plenty of chili to cater to everyone's tastes.
There will also be prizes, a TB/Geocoin registration table, and an area for you to log/discover/share your TB's and geocoins.. After the event, feel free to head out and grab some caches in the area.
There will be a geocoin debut at the event and available for purchase (see me).
Event donations: If you are able to donate something towards the raffle prizes, that's great, get in touch with me. Any help is always appreciated in this area. Also if you have a suggestion for the event, feel free to drop me an email and we'll see what we can do.
*Free wifi at the event, so bring your laptops. For those of you who wish to spend the night at the event location, there is a room discount. Just tell the front desk that you are there for the geocaching event and you should get the special rate. If you have any problems, send me an email.
*Event day/time subject to change and if necessary, all updates will be posted on the event page.
THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
WHAT TO BRING: Your best Pot O' Chili. Coffee and Water are supplied so if you like another beverage, you'll need to supply that yourself. Bring any of the fixings you like on or with your chili. Bowls, plates, cups, napkins, utensils, etc. will be supplied. Most important bring an healthy appetite!
WHERE AND WHEN: January 17th, 2008 1:00pm to ?, Helena Super 8 Motel Meeting Room (same as last year by the Overland Express).
