WAS OUT DOING SOME CACHE MAINTENANCE AND CHECKING OUT SOME POSSIBLE CACHE SITES, WHEN THIS LITTLE AREA CAME UP. IT’S GOT A STREAM, SOME ROCKS, A TRAIL, I THINK THERE MIGHT EVEN BE A LITTLE BRIDGE CLOSE BY. THE ONLY THAT WAS MISSING WAS A CACHE, UNTIL NOW!! THIS CACHE IS PLACED NOT TO FAR FROM MILE MARKER #10 OF THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS HIKING TRAIL. IT’S NOTHING SPECIAL, (AT THE MOMENT) JUST A BOX IN THE WOODS ALONG THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS HIKING TRAIL. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN. THIS CACHE IS ON THE GAMELANDS, SO ALL THIER RULES AND REGS APPLY

Did a three-fer of Blitz_8255 caches while walking a portion of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail: VIEW, ON THE ROCKS (GC1H385), ANOTHERVIEW PLEASE, AND MAKE IT A DOUBLE (GC1H63H) and TAKE A HIKE (GC1NHH7). First up was VIEW, ON THE ROCKS. Second was this ANOTHERVIEW PLEASE, AND MAKE IT A DOUBLE. Last up with this cache: SL, TNLN. BTW, the round trip walking distance between the trailhead (N39 51.981 W079 24.366) and TAKE A HIKE (third of three caches) was 4.7 miles. Thanks Blitz_8255 and Egroeg for your efforts.

Cache on,

BK

We were looking for a good cache adventure today, soooo, we took the owner’s advice and headed to the LHHT to “Take a Hike”. Actually we’ve wanted to do this one for awhile and today was the day. We parked at the “middle parking spot”, and started the hike in. We kept talking about all the cool rock formations along the LHHT. It’s pretty amazing all the stuff you can see all along this trail, and every section has tons to see. The hike in went really well. We crossed several cool little bridges and snaked our way back and forth across the ridge. This section of the trail is pretty flat and the time went by quickly. We stopped a few times taking pictures either by some rocks or the streams, and then made it to the cache area. We really liked the hiding spot. Of course, in our usual style we had to climb our way in! Courtney thinks that’s what caching is all about, climbing! We didn’t mind, we like the adventure almost as much as she does. Courtney made the find, as I was busy taking pictures. We checked out the can and signed in. We then started out while Courtney complained that she couldn’t climb more rocks. Pam was worried it was going to get dark so we moved on. To take Courtney’s attention away from the fact that we were passing up some more places to explore, we started to sing some goofy songs. It’s a good thing we didn’t run into anyone, it would have been a strange sight, or would that be a strange sound? Any way this is a very nice cache Blitz! I wish more people would make the effort to “Take a Hike”. I know they would find it well worth the effort. This is what caching is all about. No super shadow stealth required here, heck you can even sing you lungs out like we did and nobody will care! Ha! Thanks. TNLNSL

JimBat found it. Decided to take a hike this morning after work. Stopped by and revisited the two other caches on the way to this one to check out the views again then headed this way. Enjoyed the hike down the trail to this one and the area this one was hidden at. Jigsaw quickly made the find then we decided to follow the nearby road instead of the trail hoping it would take us back to truck. Saw some bear tracks in the mud along the road but unfortunately the road didnt go where we wanted it to and we ended up having to bushwhack over a mile up through the woods back to the truck. After all that decided to save the other cache for another day. TFTC

Took a hike with JimBat today and really enjoyed this section of the trail. We made our way to gz and pondered where it could be. I looked here then there and had cache in hand. Signed in and rehid. Now it's time to head home.
