Seeley Lake Baseball Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

travisl: More than two years and more than a hundred visitors later, this cache has finally met it's end. It's missing.

I won't be replacing this cache. Visitors to the cache have contributed to the creation of a very clear trail and clear area, and it'll take a couple of months for the ivy to re-claim the area.

If anyone's thinking about placing another cache in this park, feel free to do so, but let this area grow back.

Thanks to everyone who came looking for this one.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in Seely Lake Park. I recommend that you park near the Lakewood Community Center off of Lakewood Drive. Don't try parking behind the post office -- we got questioned by USPS security on a Sunday afternoon.

This cache is located in Seely Lake park, where my wife and I used to go often when we were dating. As I'm planting this cache in January 2002, I can't wait for the baseball season to start. This is also the original home of The Baseball Bug, whose goal was to travel to all American League cities. He's gone missing :-( When you leave the parking lot, you can take the loop trail to the right or the trail to the left. During the rainy season, the trail to the right should have a "4" rating for terrain instead of 2. The trail to the left is a "2" year-round. The longitude varied between 122 30.588 and 30.607 during my initial placement. Latitude was much more consistent.
Bicycles not permitted on paths
