Located within the Town of Lewisporte, the boardwalk around the pond is fairly flat, but the lookout trail gets steep and includes some stairs. You can usually see some wildlife along the way. Total distance there and back is under 6km. Bring a camera!
You've got about a 2.5km walk from the parking area off Pond Road, Lewisporte, with the last 1km being mostly uphill. Watch for the branch-off to the lookout about halfway around the pond. There is a sign nailed to a tree pointing the way, but you'll see the boardwalk intersection. Once there you'll enjoy the great panoramic view.

Located about 10m away from the Woolfrey's (Northwest) Pond boardwalk lookout platform, the cache is in a yellow, 1l dessert topping container. It contains a couple of small items to get started (see picture), but it will be improved once some shopping is done. It is away from the heavy traffic area to help protect it, but should be easy to see once you get close. Waypoint was averaged a couple minutes to improve accuracy.

This one has been around way before we started caching but we've never gotten around to getting it. Finally today on a camping trip to Notre Dame we got it. It was a bit foggy so the view wasn't as good as it could have been. Beautiful hike on the boardwalk. TN. Left a Oakcoin geopin. Container is cracked in a couple of places but the large zip lock bag has kept everything dry.
