This cache is hidden near the Colorado/New Mexico border.
Do not attempt these side roads after a heavy rain. They are "native surface" which is clay; ok when dry, very slick when wet.
To get to the trail:
(This is coming south from Colorado. If driving north from New Mexico, modify as needed.)
Drive south from the Colorado/New Mexico border a little over 2 miles, on Route 550. In the Cedar Hill area, turn west off the highway onto County Road 2300. Go 1.3 miles. Turn north on CR 2310. Go 2.7 miles. Park at the natural gas compression station if you don't have 4-wheel drive. If you do have 4-wheel drive, turn off onto the access road and continue east past the gas wells and park when you get to the sandstone formations, at approximately
