Numismatist Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Moun10Bike: Hi PedalFast,

I am one of the volunteer admins for Geocaching.com. I was just reviewing your "Numismatist" cache (GCG434).

It looks as if this cache has been under the weather for some time - it was stolen before ever being found. As stated in the cache listing guidelines available at this link:

You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing.

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thank you for your understanding,

Jon (Moun10Bike)
Geocaching.com admin.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Easy walk, bring a frisbee.

This microcache isn’t just for numismatists, but if you take a coin, you must deposit a foreign coin (pleases, no Canadian or Mexican coins).

The original contents contain exclusively foreign coins from Korea, (British) Hong Kong, Japan, United Arab Emirates, and Singapore.

If you simply plan to TNLN, you are more than welcome to sign the logbook. However, if the writing utensil is dull, you may have difficulty writing inside the very small lines in the log, so feel free to bring your own.

Please note:

 • During the warmer months, non-Geocachers hurling flying coins may be present, so be discreet.
 • Absolutely no bushwhacking required.
