When I was growing up, my family used to spend a week every summer at Kalaloch campground. I went on more nature walks, explored a ton of tide pools, and met other people from around the state.
I hadn't been back here in years, but recently made it back. Just about everything is the same as I remember. The campsites. The bathrooms. Even the girl in the fur bikini running away from the killer beach logs on the warning notices.
These coordinates will point you to a picnic table overlooking the beach. Just to the north are two signs explaining the importance of driftwood and the type of things you will find in a tidepool.
Have a seat and watch the beach. It's very relaxing. To log this find:
1) In your log below, list three different animals you saw while sitting here. If you're not sure what animals you just saw, ask a ranger. You must count real animals, not pictures.
AND
2) E-mail me the anwer to this question: how many bolts hold this picnic table together?
I will delete without notice any ''find'' logs which appear to be bogus, counterfeit, off topic, or without three animal names (that's the two-star difficulty). If I see a find here without having received the bolt information, I will delete that, too.
