What better way to beat the winter blues with Geocaching and a potluck. We begin by gathering at McClung Indoor Pavilion (the coordinates posted above) at about 12 noon. Then we’ll go out to hit some caches. There are a number of caches in Jeff City and more will be placed prior to the event. Three Bucks Cache (GCGXMD) is in McClung Park. Once it gets dark (around 6pm), we will then come back for eating and telling ‘war stories’.
McClung Pavilion, our headquarters for the day, has a full kitchen including an oven, microwave, refrigerator and sinks for cleaning up.
I will provide the meat (a turkey and ham) and eating supplies (plates/utensils/napkins) for the potluck. Everyone attending should bring side dishes, salads, desserts and beverages. While alcohol is permitted in the park, we would like to preserve a family atmosphere at the potluck.
Special lodging rates have been negotiated with area hotels for those wishing to stay overnight. Prices range from $42 to $67 depending on number of beds and which hotel you wish to stay. For a complete listing of hotels and prices, please email Lazylightning with your request.

$0 - The only expense is gas money to get to Jeff City and the caches you visit, what ever you are bringing to eat/drink and batteries for your GPS.

Directions:
McClung Park is located at 1115 Chestnut St, Jefferson City, 65101. It is located directly across from the Lincoln University Football Stadium.
Take Highway 54 to the Stadium/Lincoln University exit and go right. At the first stop light (Stadium) - go right. Stadium dead-ends in Leslie at a stop sign - go right. Chestnut is the next street - go left.
