Geocache Description:

This is the second in my series of island around Kalmar - Ängö

For English version plz scroll down.

Denna ö var obebodd fram till åren 1641-1647,
då man började påla och bebyggd denna trevliga ö.

Men redan 1724 kan man på en tuschteckning hitta en stadsplan för Ängö, Kullö samt Lindö. Dessa gator var utritade med raka parallella gator o ch ett torg i mitten, det på minner en hel del om Kvarnholmens utseende.

Den 16 december 1864, är datumet för den första planläggningen över denna stadsdel, och denna kvarters indelning finns fortfarande kvar.

Ängö har under alla år haft olika inriktnigar.

Flyghamn i sporadiska lokaler/hamnar mellan 1920-1926
Från 1926 till 1930 var det hektiskt här på ängö. Men redan 1940 upphörde flygtrafiken helt, o idag finns det inget som påminner om denna epok i Ängös historia.

Men här där gömman ligger har det i alla tider från 1650-talet varit en fiskehamn.

This island was until 1647 a pasture land.
But the first sketches of a new buildings was dated 16 december 1724. Simular to the kern of Kalmar with straigt and parallel streets with a square in the middle.

This island have been the center for both fishing as well as an aviation harbour. The aviation epoch where between 1926-1930 and was completed 1940, From that epoch we can't
see any historic building aswell the old aviation dock.

But here where the cache is, as always in this islands histroy been a fishing harbour.

The cache is a yellow plasic 1l container.
