7TH IN A SERIES OF LIGHTHOUSE CACHES
Located in a rest area along the St Croix River with a view of the
Whitlock's Mill lighthouse. Footpaths lead away from the rest area
to the cache area.
There are several felled trees (one large one in particular)
across the path. This was done in 2005 to open up the view of the
lighthouse from the picnic area. You can go under or over them or
avoid them all together by a bit of bushwhacking. They are the only
real challenge for this cache and terrain has been rated
accordingly.
The cache is a small camouflaged container with a log book and a
few items for trading. Small items ONLY if trading. Tree cover may
make accuracy of gps off.
Note: The lighthouse can be seen from the picnic area, NOT from
the cache area. Look for the sign.
THIS CACHE IS NOT WINTER FRIENDLY!!! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
REMOVE IF FROZEN!
AS ALWAYS, PLEASE LEAVE THE CACHE AS WELL OR BETTER HIDDEN THAN
YOU FOUND
